With the constant technological evolution, many processes of our daily life are evolving to offer more agility, quality and precision to the people and to the companies. And every day new things appear showing that automation is present in society more than we imagine or perceive.
And in this sense, the businessman from Caxias do Sul (RS), Fabio Rezler launched Bionicook, Brazil's first fully automated fast food restaurant, where service and preparation are done by a robot.
Three years ago the entrepreneur started with the company operating on the conventional model, but felt the need to offer something different to the market. "We started with traditional service, like all fast-foods, but in the course of time we realized that we should do something amazing and bring something new to the industry. At this moment I had contact with the robotics ", says Fabio.
Quite simply, the consumer places his order through a self-service totem and the robot executes the request. The venture uses KUKA robots to prepare orders.
"It's a fast-food pastry and breaded, with pre-set portions that come frozen and packed from the factory. The robot starts the process of frying and serving after the request and payment made by the consumer. As the frying process takes between two and three minutes, one of the fastest in the world, we put the equipment to interact with people through electronic media in tablet manipulated by the robot, in addition to merchandising and communications, "says the businessman.
Fábio also clarifies that much in contrast to what is imagined, this new business model will generate even more jobs, since it will require numerous complementary back-up functions.
"Robots come to streamline and make jobs more repetitive. The robotic cell in fast food has a new concept and, at the other end, will generate other tasks that will be performed by people, such as manufacturing and preparation of products, engineering, remote monitoring, logistics and management of franchisees. In addition, it will open new demands for administrative and technical positions for the maintenance of cells and robots, for example, "he concludes.
